Big Freeze hits Catus
The big freeze that is sweeping across Europe has not missed Catus. It was freezing cold yesterday; around -4C, and this morning we woke up to a blanket of snow which continues to fall. The scene is of our back garden from the first floor. No floating ice on the stream yet!

Refurbished 'Halle' (market place)
The Halle in Catus underwent a major refurbishment in 2010/11 after serving as la poste (post office) for many years. The grand opening ceremony in June 2011 was well-attended. This revitalized centre of life for the village is now a focus for many village activities such as a market for regional products, wine fairs, musical events, meals, and so on.
